Bmw battery safety terminal resistance

Had my 2013 i3 for a few months now and really enjoy it so far but recently I've had the restraint system warning light come on. I've got access to BimmerLink and have found the code 930994 for "Safety battery terminal: resistance too great" which suggests to me the terminal has blown, however the car still operates and drives so I suspect the fault is indication only. I've managed to track down a replacement positive cable for the 12V battery including the terminal post (which I think houses the safety terminal?) but not sure exactly how to change it and if this will solve the issue.

Any help greatly appreciated
